ECD centre: with love from Save the Children

Friday 18 September 2020

The new Hlengabantwana ECD centre was received with much appreciation by the ECD committee, local community, tribal authority and the Department of Social Development.

Save the Children’s Happy Living and Learning project also focuses on improving the quality of learning, health and nutrition and literacy for young children in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal. Overall, nine new ECD centres have built under the Happy Living and Learning project across those three provinces.

In addition to the safe structure, Save the Children also fitted out the Hlengabantwana centre with educational toys, books, mats, child- friendly furniture and sanitising resources in line with COVID-19 safety protocols. Thank you for standing with us as we aim to help more children during their critical early years of development!
