If you have yet to draft your Will, you’ll be interested to hear that during National Wills Week (16 – 20 September), many law firms provide this service free of charge. As you may know, everyone over the age of 18 years should have a Will – regardless of financial standing– since this is the only way we can ensure that our wishes will be respected after we’re gone.
It's unfortunate that people still mistakenly believe that Wills are only for ‘rich’ people. Dying intestate (without a Will) can and does result in unnecessary delays and more difficulties for bereaved families.
If writing a Will is something you’ve been meaning to do, National Wills Week is a good time to do so! But before then, you may wish to find out more – so if you’d like us to send you an informative brochure on the subject, please email [email protected]
And if you’ve been thinking of remembering Save the Children in your Will – the ultimate legacy to a cause you care about – then please do let us know, in confidence. We’d love to be able to thank you.
Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In South Africa and around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.
Note to the Editor:
If children are affected, we’ve got something to say. Our team of experts are available for comments, interviews and information.
