First Lady Dr Tshepo Motsepe and Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize have congratulated Save the Children on its 100-year birthday. They were speaking at the organization’s centenary celebrations hosted at the Kalafong Hospital in Atteridgeville.
Save the Children has been doing whatever it takes for children in need for 100 years, reaching over 1 billion children. It all began in 1919 with founder, Eglantyne Jebb, the original changemaker for children. Eglantyne launched a pioneering campaign to save suffering children across war-torn Europe – a cause that soon became the first global movement for children.
