If you responded with warmth and generosity to our recent request for support for our Sireletsa Bana project, thank you! As a project that specifically targets issues such as malnutrition – a tragic danger for many children living in poverty – Sireletsa Bana is a lifeline to little girls and boys in the Capricorn District of Limpopo, as well as the Thabo Mofutsanyane District of the Free State.

PROMOTING ENTREPRENEURSHIP AMONGST OUR YOUTH

South Africa’s unemployment statistics are sky- high, which is why programmes that promote entrepreneurship amongst our youth are so critically important. Save the Children welcomes the sentencing of the Dros rapist

Save the Children South Africa (SCSA) welcomes the sentence handed down to Dros rapist, Nicolas Ninow. The North Gauteng High Court sentenced Ninow to life in prison for the heinous crime, on Thursday.

Save the Children calls for protection of migrant girls

Marking the International Day of the Girl Child (11October), Save the Children South Africa (SCSA), calls for genuine action to protect migrant girls. In a country where child abuse is prevalent, migrant girls are some of the most vulnerable children and a target for sexual exploitation, forced marriage and forced labour.

SCSA welcomes the sentencing of the mother who killed her children

Save the Children South Africa (SCSA) welcomes the sentencing of the Mpumalanga mother, who killed her four children last year. Today the Mpumalanga High Court sentenced Zinhle Maditla to four life terms in prison.
