5 year old Palesa had never seen a flushing toilet. That changed recently when Save the Children South Africa in partnership with GS Fencing opened newly built ablution facilities at the Sizolomphakathi community centre, in Mpumalanga.

GSK and Save the Children have launched their fourth annual $1 million Healthcare Innovation Award, which rewards innovations in healthcare that help to reduce child deaths in developing countries and have the potential to reach even more children.

Today, the 29th of May 2016 the Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini officially launched Child Protection Week under the theme “Let Us All Protect Children To Move South Africa Forward“.

Save the Children South Africa is pleased with the finding as per the report released by the South Africa Human Rights Commission, in the matter between the Complainants, Andriaan Mostert, Hannah Mostert, Sonke Gender Justice and Carol Bower; and the Respondent, Joshua Generation Church.
