Ulf is a highly experienced civil society / non-for profit sector senior executive. Particular areas of strength and expertise include strategic analysis, planning and change management; organisational governance and internal control as well as monitoring, evaluation and learning.
                       
Ulf joined the Save the Children movement in 2008 as the Senior Advisor for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, International programmes. During the years, he was promoted to Deputy International Programmes Director; Chief Operating Officer to the CEO and Chief Strategy Officer. Ulf is currently the Chief of Staff at Save the Children Sweden.
 
Prior to joining Save the Children, Ulf was Diakonia’s Programme Director in Africa, with the overall responsibility for the management of Diakonia’s programmes in Africa and the line management of programme development in 13 countries, through two Regional Offices, with total programme portfolio of 100 million SEK (approx 12 million USD). Additionally, Ulf was responsible for the quality assurance of strategic analysis, planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning and award management.

Between 1997 and 2002, Ulf was the Executive secretary for the United Methodist Church in Sweden. He was responsible for the management of development projects in Liberia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and the state of Jharkhand in India, in close cooperation with the in-country United Methodist Church. Ulf was also responsible for award management from institutional external donors – primarily Sida as well as fundraising and communication with local churches and individual donors in Sweden.
